I provide a full project estimate and present it to the client. I then charge new website clients 50% of the project total up front to be paid before the project commences. The final 50% is required either 30 days later, or once the project is completed, whichever comes first. This is helpful for those that are on a budget and need a payment plan. However, you also have the convenience of paying in full at the beginning of any project too. Special circumstances may be made for new businesses who are on a fixed budget for their design needs and we can space out payments over 3 to 4 months.
As my relationship with my clients develops I am a lot more flexible about this, but certainly with new clients, there is a huge risk involved. This is my way of being able to build up that trust with you. You also have the option of setting up a Design Retainer account with us too!
All Other Design Jobs
If you are not a current Design Retainer client, our billing works as follows. Anything under $500, we require 100% up front. For jobs $500-$1000, we do the $500 down to begin, and the remaining 30 days later, or at completion, whichever comes first. Large jobs, we can do payment plans, or 1/2 down and 1/2 after 30 days in. It really depends on our current relationship with that client (new or established), and client history. In the end, we are fair, affordable, and flexible!
